Probably playing on higher difficulties. Though to be fair, they did reduce their spawn. It does seem like you deal with them inefficiently though. A single EAT, recoiless or spear shot from the front in their head takes them out. Grab EATs, a jump pack, and light armor with stamina boosters - the bugs can't reach you unless they are white. Prioritize hunters, jump away if encountering a spewer or a charger getting too close. You can jump up a cliff if you need to drop them (but you shouldn't have to, since you should be dropping EATs everywhere on cooldown). An upgraded gatling takes care of the swarm, an upgraded cannon does as well, but will also take out the charger with enough time (but for chaff, gatling is better). If two people on your team have EATs you should be instantly able to kill all the chargers that come at you.

Until the recent patch it want uncommon to have half a dozen chargers and titans both active. Now the devs balanced it towards more of the lower bugs so we have to deal with swarms of god damn hunters lol
