I was eagerly waiting for the release, but the PC version doesn't have very good reviews. So, don't think I am going to give it a try anytime soon.

In case you didn’t know, they did remake it in 2006: https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_settlers_2_10th_anniversary

It’s probably due for another remake at this point since, somehow, it still remains the best in the series after 26 years and 10+ games, but I’m personally getting really tired of playing the same games over and over again with shinier graphics.

Heh, this remake looks like how I imagine the original game to look like. I wonder how the original one looks like.

Well, while I do agree with your point, it seems they aren't able to make a good new game, so what else can we ask for?
