I've never used an iPhone, been a die hard android user since the beginning, but I might switch because of this. I don't care about AI and don't want it on my phone.

You are going to need to go with something other then apple if you don't want it in your phone. All thier plans are around adding it.

Most of Apple’s AI will run on device and not online, so that’s something.

Yeah I suppose they would hop on as well. The idea that my experience would be tailored according to unknown algorithm and agenda kind of scares me.

Looks like Android devices are your future because you can put a different ROM on it and avoid the issues (potentially)
