While

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday he was "committed to continuing the war until we achieve all of its goals" and no pressure could change it.

Effectively saying fuck you all, I will do what I want.

Netanyahu’s goal is to stay in power. He will only stay in power when the war is ongoing since he will be voted out once the fighting has ended. Once he loses his prime minister seat he will be prosecuted for corruption. Since a sitting prime minister can’t be charged. Thus he wants perpetual war.
