Just to drive home the point, this is analyst's saying they think sony should do this, not that sony is doing this.

That's not the way the article is phrased though:

"A new CNBC report notes that there was now "broad concensus in the game industry that Sony is indeed preparing a launch of a PS5 Pro in the second half of 2024," quoting Tokyo-based games analyst Serkan Toto."

I think that means that the analyst said that him and his buddies sure do think it'll happen, but with nothing to back it up at all.

They're saying Sony will do it, not that they think Sony will do it.
