Smeg once posted about baits of mixed Borax and icing sugar. I put it in small tinfoil bowls where the cat can't get to them and it seems to be working quite well

Chemicals just get you roaches with extra and curly wings

If that fails, Iโ€™ve heard that borax and sugar traps work well
