I'll note that an updated booster came out this past fall, and few Americans have gotten it.

I was present during the first outbreak in my city and working in a hospital, so I caught it pretty early, hit me like a ton of bricks.

Second time I caught it was this year. Seems I'm seeing a lot of people out and about, coughing, hacking, visibly sick. And nobody is wearing a mask. I wore a mask after I got better from COVID and people at the store were looking at me like I was a psycho for wearing a mask.
