According to tradition Apostle Bartholomew was skinned alive. In churches you can see his statues holding a skinning knife and his own skin.

The Milan one is very Hellraiseresque, but at least they got it right. 10/10

The Basilica of Latheran looks like they went with the "Halloween costume of a character with a picture of the character" approach to depicting being skinned alive. 4/10 not very convincing
