Why do I get "Subscribe Pending" on most communities? (self.support)

The whole thing definitely isn't prepared for the users exodus from reddit. I also found that new site versions aren't easy to implement as the admin of lemmy.world has rolled back a couple times and has decided to stay on v0.17 for now

Yeah, Jerboa updated and now I can't even open the app. I'm thinking it may also be because the server version for my main instance (lemmy.world) is too low. I did see somewhere that they hope to get things fixed and updated in a week or so. They want to get the captcha back I believe
