Is anyone else worried about missing out on content because you didn't realize the instance you signed up for had been defederated by another or something?

I've signed up on multiple instances, but I'm not sure which one has the best "vision" of all the larger instances. I wish I could see some sort of visual map/web of the fediverse. Anybody have any tips?

Beehaw is going a bit too dramatic of a route with how much they are defederating in an attempt to be a "safe space". I had an account with them initially, but quickly left after some of their debacle. I'm pretty happy with the way lemmy.world admins are running things and who they are and aren't federating with!
