I unbricked my asus X00PD back to stock rom and now that I know how to do it, I can experiment with other OS like Lineage.

According to the official Lineage site, my model (asus X00PD) is not compatible. However, according to https://tweakdroid.com/lineage/asus-zenfone-max-m1-zb556kl-zenfone-max-m1-m2-m3-zb555kl-x00pd-x00p-1/#toc5 it's supported.

Has any of you successfully installed Lineage on a X00PD?

If you know of other non proprietary OS I could install on my smartphone, I'm all ears.

Only take note from official lineage os site on compatibility.

You could try divest os or /e/ project.

You could also try getting stock android on the device which doesn't have any google services ( android by itself is free and open source after all.
