These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
It's just regulation. No sweepstakes allowed without some "skill" involved
I figured, but without explanation and in the barebones context, it’s amusing, like Canadians have to earn the privilege for some reason. If other countries had a similar requirement it wouldn’t stand out, but it looks like you’re/they’re being singled out because of it.
It's basically to bypass lottery regulations, it's not a raffle anymore if it's a skill test...
Its the reason why why have to also have to put a ailable to select countries, as there are countries where raffles are basically forbidden. Anytime theres some odd requirements in the contest ToS, assume its because of countries respective lottory or gambling laws
Yep, already aware, it’s just the “skill test” clause that was a new one for me.
McDonald's used the same skill testing question for like 2 decades. At locations where they actually bothered to make you do it, they would give you a little cut of photocopied paper with an elementary school level pre algebra equation to solve. IIRC the answer was always 32 or maybe it was 36. I got a lot of free crap from people giving me the monopoly stickers they couldn't be bothered to deal with over the years.
Edit: I tried to look up if anyone posted the exact problem and found someone posting on reddit regarding a different one. I made a screenie to save anyone else the reddit click.
