Right up there with Arrested Development and Venture Bros.
Venture Bros. is awesome. The writing is deep, characters are fun, and it's always a good time re-watching.
Go team Venture!
And the Discworld books!
As much as I love those books, it's the one series I find hard to finish again. I loved The Shepherds Crown, but that opening always has me welling up. Those books helped me get through some rough times, and it always hurts to say goodbye.
I have admittedly still not managed to read that one because I'm a coward.
But the ones I own get reread so often half the covers are falling off, and I'm still finding new jokes every time. It's actually ridiculous.
It's worth it, he really put his best into finishing Tiffany's story, but that first chapter is straight up a walkthrough for the mourning process while still managing to set up the plot perfectly.
It really is crazy how well he wove the humor in. Even Good Omens had parts where I was wondering which one wrote that bit because it layered so damn well with everything and I only caught it on my 2nd/10th/1000th reread.
Her?
Can definitely vouch for Arrested Development too, but I've never seen Venture Bros. Looks like I have a new assignment.
The first two seasons can feel kinda off compared to what came later, but there's one episode where you just know something shifted, and it sets the way for everything going forward while leaving you going "What the fuck was THAT?"
