MODERATORS

Asked whether they believed Trump has or has not “committed serious federal crimes,” 54 percent of poll respondents replied that he had. But 19 percent of them confirmed they’d still vote for this criminal ex-president in 2024. Along the same vein, 13 percent of those who believe Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results “threatened American democracy” still plan to vote for him next year.

Are you saying that Trump supporters won’t support him if he’s a criminal?

[–] RichCaffeineFlavor -1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm saying it's election season so they're putting out polls designed to get responses that polarize the democratic base against the republican base. Is that more clear?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do you think most Trump supporters would still support him if he was a criminal?

[–] RichCaffeineFlavor 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You're introducing them categorically as 'Trump supporters' so my answer would be yes.

So I guess the title is actually right, and it’s not just trying to drum up controversy. It’s not exactly a secret those people don’t care if the president is a crook, a rapist, a child molester, or whatever else you can get away with when you are (supposedly) that rich—the mind wanders. I’m sure they’re all very proud. I’d wager most of them are several of those things too.

You support a rapist president, don't you? You support a president who can individually stop a mass genocide happening right this moment, don't you? The fuck are you acting superior for? It's not exactly a secret you don't give a fuck about anything but your team winning. I'm sure you're proud too. I'd wager you've raped at least one person in your life, right? Most people who act like you have, and that means 50/50 you're a rapist by your logic, right? You've shoved your finger inside a woman against her will and without asking in the hallway of your workplace because "I thought you liked me," right?

Is my comment just trying to drum up controversy? Everything I said is true. If it's true you can't examine motives, right?

If Biden is convicted of rape, I won’t vote for him. I’m really not that big of a fan. The same goes for anyone else.

Genocide: Trump wouldn’t help. 🤷‍♂️ and unlike a Trump shill—I’m not a Biden supporter even though he got my vote.

Also, I voted for Bernie in the primary —who definitely would have been vocal about Israel and Palestine. My Biden vote was a “not Trump” vote.

I’m not acting superior, you’re thinking I am. Thanks, but I disagree.

I’d vote for someone off of my team if their team wasn’t trash. Give me more than two teams.

I’ve never had sex with a woman. I’ve never raped a man.

Nice try, but it’s probably just projection.

So, I guess you’re just wrong.

I’m not acting superior, you’re thinking I am. Thanks, but I disagree.

The entire premise of this conversation is drawing a distinction from and moral judgement upon a group of people who you want to criticize for doing the things you listed yourself off as not being willing to do.

Please just pay attention to what we're talking about. If you were paying attention to what was actually going on you would not have spun off this canned throwaway response to 'you're acting superior'.

Get a new canned response by the way. Or better yet if that's how you're interpreting it, just don't rise to the bait. Past the point where you're brushing off taking an active role in genocide and confusing what it means to support a politician, the vast majority of your reply is just reactionary personal aggrievement.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Just because I’m not reducing myself to your level doesn’t mean I’m not paying attention to you. I just really don’t agree. Freedom. Ain’t it grand?

However, I doubt either one of us will sway the other so let’s just call it a day. Feel free to respond, you’re blocked 😘

Actually I'll have you know, sir, that I voted for the 'fascism only abroad' guy who you know would be good on Palestine because of how he won't call for a cease fire and voted with everyone else in the senate to support Israel.
