There is so much hate for Israel and the Jews here on Lemmy that by the end of this, the political ends of the horseshoe will meet and the Nazi party will be full of both super liberal and super conservative Jewish-hating assholes.
Don't conflate condemning Israel with hating jews please. And one can condemn both Israel and Hamas while supporting the civilians in both Israel and Palestine.
The state of Israel government is not, nor will ever be, the “Jews.”
Unfortunately the world is not so black and white. Most people who criticise Israel on Lemmy are not antisemitic. If the Arabs ran the powerful ethnostate and it was placed in an existing country primarily occupied by Jews, who were treated like 2nd class citizens, I would support the Jewish state.
The real mystery is why some people out there want people like you to believe people like me are hateful for holding this opinion. I'm sure you don't condone the absolutely fucking disgraceful actions of Israel - like blocking food and water to Gaza for days - and I shouldn't treat you like a genocidal maniac for your broader opinion. Likewise, I don't support the targeting of civilians by Hamas. Treating me like I do would be fucking stupid.
People are complicated and simplifying them into straw men really only distorts your own perception of reality
