Gravity is what pulls mucus out of your sinuses.

So in microgravity, your sinuses don’t drain

Imagine having the worst head cold of your life for a year, not being able to taste any of the freeze dried food you have to eat, and being trapped in a tube the size of a passenger airliner.

Astronauts are amazing people. A lot of people went a little nuts at home during COVID lockdowns, and they didn’t even have to worry about the atmosphere leaking out or doing complicated science experiments.
