Does the playstore allow developers to make a page for an app not yet developed? Would be cool when reddit shuts down 3rd party apps to have the sync for reddit app send you to a sign up page for sync for lemmy.

There's technically nothing stopping the developer from just releasing the Lemmy app as an update to the current play store app. After all, the Reddit app will be non-functional in a little over a week, but it's not like Google will force him to remove it from the Play store.
