There is an actual product called the Hurry Cane. It was one of those "As Seen on TV" products.
That looks pretty cool, actually. Good to know that there's still innovation happening in the field of mobility-assistance devices.
In a society with an ageing population mobility assistance is a growing market.
I too remember this product. You are not alone.
