- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Good. If they can't operate without massive handouts, they should either figure out increasing their income, or cut things that waste money.
If there's one fucking thing this country should be subsidizing it's fucking education
So waste your own money on it then. I'm sure no university will turn down your cash.
Everyone benefits when people go to school. I do pay for my schooling, and that of the doctors who will treat me in my old age, through taxes. It should go further.
They should only be for the absolute essentials of maintaining government. Not every random bit of garbage you want at someone else's expense.
Let me guess. You support small government until it comes to religion, sexuality, race, and gender orientation?
An educated populace is 100% necessary for maintaining democracy. Feel free to go read your Thomas Jefferson on that, the sentiment is found throughout his written works.
If you read the article you'd learn:
It was explicitly set up to subsidize education for rural people.
Just one of the departments getting cut is projected to make $800,000...
...And out comes the r-slur!
Look at that! Who would guess that a conservative is hateful and uses slurs???
It's almost like nobody likes them and they have to be assholes about it!
