I like visual simplicity. Other than the terminal, I usually maximize all of my windows. I've just gotten good at using alt-tab and win-# to quickly flip between windows as needed.

Have you tried multiple virtual desktops, or do you prefer to have a single alt-tab stack of windows? I love using a 3x3 grid of desktops, as the special zoning helps me to organize, separate, and spread out my multiple work tasks.

That sounds really complicated! My daily driver is Windows (I know, I know... I can't give up my games), so I'm not sure that would even be possible for me.

Windows 11 (and 10?) supports multiple desktops. Only in the shape of a 1xN grid through, like a 1D array. Still handy for multitasking:

Yeah, I'm familiar with the multi desktop feature on Windows. I don't really use it because I can't see any advantage over alt-tab for my use case. I meant the 2D grid.
