Hackett is upset for being exposed.
It feels like he took the high road here reading the entire comments. It was a scummy thing for Payton to say.
I feel like Payton also did it to take the heat off Russell Wilson so he can filter out the noise and not be talked about as much.
It’s not like the whole NFL world doesn’t know Hackett did a terrible job, so Payton didn’t expose him. He just made himself look like an ass saying stuff people already knew.
As a lifelong Bucs fan, I might be lightly biased, but Payton should be careful as well. How many years can you go 7-9 in a row with a 1st ballot HoF quarterback and not be part of the problem?
I'm surprised they've never met. It's such a small group of people you'd think they'd run into each other at work events.
