First time I rode Tower was a long time ago and I loved it. Then, after we had kids, I wanted them to ride it and like it, so I told them I'd pay them each $20 to ride, and then another $20 if they didn't like it.
What I didn't realize is they changed the ride and made it a bit more random since the last time I rode it. Also, when you ride with kids and a kid on each side of you wants to hold your hand, you can't hold on, so I ended up flying out of the seat without any control and that freaked me out.
When we got off, I owed two kids another $20 each. The other kid wanted the extra $20, but he wanted to ride it again, so he couldn't pretend he didn't like it.
I've since rode it several times, and I'm back to liking it... as long as I can hold on.
You'll do tower but you don't like roller coasters! I hate the drop feeling, which is my least favorite part of roller coasters. So, intense coasters and tower are both out for me. Though, I wish I could get over it and enjoy it.
What worked for me is just a bunch of mind over matter BS.
I keep telling myself I'll enjoy it, and reminding myself that the apparent danger isn't real.
I think I just start to believe it 😉
Besides, I drive to work in Philly every day. Compared to that, a roller coaster shouldn't be scary at all.
