Finished bioshock 2 days ago after having it on my backlog for years and years. Was really fun, some aspects do show their age, like the "horror" sequences, which are more funny than scary nowadays, but in general it holds up pretty well imo. It’s really interesting to see how a libertarian dystopia and ayn rand on crack could look like.
Playing bioshock 2 now, while it’s of course still fun, I’m a bit underwhelmed because it’s literally the same game but they made Adam more annoying to get by having to fight off waves of splicers. Looking forward to bioshock infinite.
Infinite is special, that game consumed my life until I finished it. I always loved bioshock, but infinite really upped the ante.
I am the same situation as you but still playing through Bioshock1. I remembered hating it when I first played but after turning the difficulty down a notch I have been enjoying the story. The 3 games have been sitting in my epic game store since they gave them away a couple of years ago.
You might get mixed feelings from 3. Some people loved it, others hated it. Some also thought part 2 was underrated. So there's that too lol
i've only played 3 but had to turn the difficulty down towards the end because of waves of enemies
