As many times as I've seen it, it's still really worthwhile to see it again. Unfortunately it seems like we're progressing down the wrong path a little more, year after year, as long as I can remember.
I still find it so weird that the people who grew up during the red scare, doing duck and cover drills, and probably still watched some of these in school, ended up voting for this hook line and sinker.
In a lot of ways, boomers grew up in a world of mass media, where there was a barrier to entry when it came to publishing stuff, and while mass media wasn't always truthful, there was trust to be had.
Their minds never really adjusted to this current world where anyone could publish whatever they wanted without any gatekeepers.
"You really think someone would do that, just to go on the internet and tell lies?"
Brainwashing is one hell of a drug.
The red scare, you mean where people were swimming in propaganda and hate of the unknown?
Yeah, so surprising that their critical thinking skills atrophied...
