There's a cryptocurrency called Hexbear, that's why someone is willing to spend this much money on it.
Thanks, from what ive been reading that seems like a good possibility. I like to think theres still a solid 50 50 chance its either the crypto bro who owns hexbear coin, or just some guy with too much money and zero fucks out for petty keks. I guess well see with the new website the domain redirects to either its gonna shill the coin or it will direct memes mocking tankies. With the world we live in, maybe even both!
I knew I had heard of hexbear before I joined lemmy that explains it.
