I'm confused. I think of myself as a progressive liberal, and I think that people who threaten a tolerant society should be destroyed. This includes Nazis. Kill on sight. What about this isn't liberalism? Am I retarded?
If nothing else, you certainly are an ableist, and ableists don't get my time of day.

I don't know where you are but in America a "liberal progressive" is understood by most of the population to be someone pretty far left. In far left places on the Internet (socialist groups, Marxist groups, anarchist groups) a "liberal" is a person that supports capitalism. So lefties hate liberals.
Also using the r-word is NOT cool.
Bad actors and idiots who think things aren't bad or can't get worse. That's who's saying these things. Some people weren't personally effected by Trump and have no empathy for anyone who was, but watch Daily Show to feel good about themselves.
