I remember reading that the US fought a whole ass revolutionary war over this sort of thing. This has been 7 years of fight for these people.

“When police—including the FBI—raid the wrong house, they must be held responsible for the damages,” said IJ Senior Attorney Anya Bidwell. “The 11th Circuit let the government off the hook in this case, and we are hopeful that the Supreme Court will do the right thing and ensure that Americans can feel secure in their own homes.”

Perfect time for people to stick up on any weapon they can use for self defense and most likely shooting lessons/practice. Self defense if you shoot them in the head. Don't care what the law says.

Cop was running away from you? No problem, cops do it all the time.

Afraid for your life because the cop sneezed? No problem, cops are always afraid and shoot people because they're scared.

See something shiny? Well, guess you have to shoot them, could have been a gun.

According to cops, these are all reasonable excuses for lethal force.

Good for Goose. Good for gander.

^this is not an endorsement nor incitement nor an expression of intent, simply an observation, of reality. And, as commenter below mentions, results of any act of the above will vary. But, there's a reason adages like "those who live by the sword..." exist.^

Thanks. Added a little footnote.

This is a ridiculous take.

If a swat team comes into your house, shooting at them is absolutely not going to lead to a better outcome.

Oh no doubt at first, but if it becomes more common I think you will see the rate of this nonsense drasticly decrease. The question is, what are you willing to die for?
