Potions of magical sight completely counteract blindness! Since the blindness on both scrolls only lasts 10 turns and magical sight lasts 50 turns if you use the potion right before the scroll then you can basically ignore the blindness debuff entirely! Plus the sight range increase helps you see more targets so that the scroll kills more enemies and does less feedback damage to you (in the case of psionic blast).
Lol, listening to the strats you're putting up has me feeling like a newb all over again. Really appreciate the tips.
Are there any good websites / resources for achieving mastery in this game? Learning how to manage melee has been a real challenge for me (I main Huntress and Mage since ranged just makes more sense to me). I think thats next in my list once I get Doom Slayer.
The two big ones are:
The Complete Noob’s Guide is a bit out of date (does not have Duelist, never mind Cleric). If there’s a more updated version I’m not aware of it. However a lot of its info is nearly universal across versions, in particular all the stuff about consumables, wands, movement speeds, attack speeds, angles for ranged attacks, line of sight, monster AI, and how to deal with each enemy type and boss in a generic way. I think the alchemy info is also out of date, and of course there’s no info on trinkets either.
The Wiki is a much better resource for up to date info on the game. However it is not nearly as complete in terms of strategic info, so having both the CNG and the Wiki are advisable. And of course the in-game journal and character info from the new game screen is always going to be the most reliable and accurate information, albeit with the least amount of strategic info.
