You can use rogue cloak, hourglass, chains or blast wand to get distance from skeletons so you can last hit them with a throwing weapon or a wand to avoid the bone explosion damage. With faith is my armor you really should avoid all of those bone explosions they hit too hard.
Midgame is often all about survival and in 9 challenge dying on boss floors with an ankh for full heal and fully replenishing your satiety with potions of cleansing might just give you the edge you need to survive.
Thanks! Yeah I’ve won 6 challenges (no Pharma, no FIMA, no Forbidden Runes) with every class but Cleric. I used a lot of ankhs and potions of cleansing to heal and replenish satiety.
The early game was always hardest and it was always scary dealing with crabs in +0 cloth armour. I started improving a lot when I started taking whatever armour the ghost gave me and upgrading it until I could equip it which makes prisons trivial.
I’m currently playing a lot of Caves of Qud right now but I plan to come back to SPD when Cleric is finished and fully released. After getting a 6 challenge win with them I’ll start trying to learn 9 challenges. Should be pretty fun!
