FBF to this past spring... finding a Great Honed Owl family living in a giant burnt tree.

Even the deadest of things in nature can be a source of life !

So true in their world. I had been wondering if the dead and smelly tree would deter exploration by other animals and over smells of the nest.

Plus mamma owl is always nearby, keeping those keen eyes on business.
