  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Sadly for every Manchin and Sinema we lose, we gain a Fetterman.

Neoliberalism needs to just hurry up and die already so we can build an actual labor party in America.

You'll be glad to hear that neoliberalisim is canceled. We're getting fascism now.

"The fascism will kill itself"

"That's good"

"The fascism will kill hundreds of millions of people while doing so"

"That's bad"

"The human race may have a chance to survive if the population rapidly collapses"

"That's good"

"Except the Earth will be poisoned for millions of years"

... "can I go now"

Canceled? Fascism is neoliberalism's intended conclusion.

[–] BMTea 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Can you explain how? Every time I've heard this explain it has been muddled and didn't make much sense to me.

Conservatives want to move things to the right, towards fascism. Progressives want to move things to the left, toward socialism. Liberals want to maintain the status quo so long as it remains tenable. Neoliberals are Liberals in bad faith. They maintain the status quo in order to prevent moving to the left, but don't do much to prevent rightward motion. When the populace wants to move left, Neoliberals exist to uselessly take up space that could be occupied by Progressives or even Liberals, and make leftward motion impossible while they wait for Conservatives to take charge again and resume the rightward trudge toward fascism. Neoliberals are the pawl on the ratchet.

I contend that this is deliberate and that we have been played.

I don't understand what the difference is between liberals and neoliberals by the way you describe it. They're the exact same crowd in real life as far as I can tell. In fact conservativism is basically liberalism + religion.

Its not quite canceled yet though. The dems still exist and whats left of the party wont learn its lesson and try to do better next time.

Within any concern as big as the US, there will be factions. What the neolibs/centrists are too arrogant to understand is that bipartisanship' and centrism is not actually a position anyone can rally around. It holds no power. They have no reason to be at any negitiating table, and theres no reason beyond laziness and lack of information for anyone to follow anything they say.

Biden just wants to inherit Mccains unearned reputation of being a maverick and making deals, where any deal no matter how bad is better than not making a deal at all. Biden thinks he's in politics because he's good at it, and people like him, not because he was supposed to represent people and a democratic platform. People voted for him because he was an old white male who wasnt trump (and because Obama boosted him up when he absolutely should not have), and that was the only reason Biden didnt lose with 1% of the vote when he ran for president, just like every other time he ran for president, of which there were many. No one has ever liked him or his idiotic right leaning openly racist dimwitted grandstanding policy ideas. He's a disloyal moron with an overinflated ego, which has now cost us this election.
