Wasn't the whole shtick of the 28 later zombies that they weren't zombies, but that it was super rabies? Wasn't the plot of the second movie that all the infected had starved to death within months?

Yeah I am super intrigued cause... Yeah that's the plot and the emaciated "zombies" in this trailer seem to agree with that but I am wondering if it's going in an I am Legend twist of them having civilized? Or maybe adapted as tools and weapons of an oppressive post apocalyptic ruler as sorta done in 2.

I am super interested to see where it goes.

If you're that interested, then you should watch Doomsday, because they seem to have lifted a lot of their plot points from that movie.
