it's all part of the bigger "small government" lie. they don't want small government, they want a government that doesn't touch the 1% with any regulations whatsoever: taxation, regulation, labor laws, child labor laws, consumer protection laws, construction codes and standards, etc.

at the same time they want that "small government" to mandate who you're allowed to marry, what books your kids are allowed to read, and if they get their way, you better believe they'll enforce mandatory church/sunday school/bible study attendance. they're already getting away with private school vouchers and 10 commandments in class bullshit.

don't ever think "it can't happen here." because it's literally happening

Conservatism and its many forms literally wants to recreate the feudal system.

When I left the right, some of them tried to hold me back by both admitting that their bigotry is literally just a divide and conquer game by the end (although they themselves are tend to ending up believing them), and told me that if I serve their ranks, by the end I'll even have access to "private freedom", meaning as long as the public doesn't find out, I could even commit crimes.
