Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

MODERATORS

I was shocked in the presidential debate that Harris gave staunch support for fracking. I was under the impression that democrats are against fracking, and remember people being critical of Fetterman for supporting it.

I also grew up in an area that was heavily impacted by the pollution from fracking. People who worked in the field were seen as failures of moral character who chose profits over the health of their children. How is it that both major parties are now in support of it? I feel like I must be missing a piece of the puzzle.

I did not change any topic. The "positions" you found on Harris's campaign website are bogus and I already addressed that.

We all watched the same debate. Don't pretend you didn't notice how Harris wouldn't be outdone on Israel, the border, or fossil fuels. Whatever Trump said on these topics, Harris promised to do it harder and meaner. She was clearer on these points than she's been on anything in the past six years.

What's bogus is you trying to ignore Harris's entire platform because it's clearly superior to Trump's platform. You're hoping that people don't compare the two platforms because anyone who is able to read can see that Harris has better policy positions across the board, including in abortion rights, LGBT rights, taxation, foreign policy, energy, and immigration.

In the debate, as I have shown in the parts that I quoted, Trump also claims that he "wouldn't be outdone" and would "do it harder and meaner" on the topics that you are pretending to care about. That is what people are expected to do in a debate. Even then, Trump lied about immigrants eating cats and dogs, while Harris acknowledged Palestinians' right to self-determination.

Not sure why you bother with Lemmy when your pro-Trump rhetoric is a better fit for Gab and Truth Social.

Harris is the VP now. She and her boss have a track record that's pretty close to Trump's on these issues and that should carry more weight than a campaign webpage. Also, Harris is notoriously non-committal in her speech (except on Israel), so she really went out of her way in the debate to make it clear that she'll be tougher on the border and do more fracking than Trump. That's the real Kamala.

And just so everyone is clear, Trump is also bad. Do not vote for Trump either.
