Why are so many pics in lemmy sideways?

Especially because you can edit anything and fix it

Sometimes when you edit photos (particularly on a phone) the picture isnt actually rotated; its just noted in the metadata. Lemmy is not recognizing that metadata.

Just learned a lil myself after posting to support about it.

Liftoff and mobile brave browser doesn't give you the option to edit the rotation, but apparently the voyager app does, so I'll give that a shot next time.
