Made up thing as a little joke -> fact checkers did not realize it was a joke -> AP writes article saying "No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch" -> people spread funny article -> people start widely talking about it
(Also didn't help that the AP ended up taking down their fact checking article because it bypassed their typical editing process, and people just saw that the article was taken down. Leading to even more spread of it)
Don't forget the dolphin porn!
Despite having read about the JD Vance dolphin stuff, some part of me instinctually does not trust that link with the text around it lol

Did they provide any evidence? Or are we just supposed to take James David at his lack of word?
The headline should have read that he didn't write about it in his book. It's likely another reason why the AP News article was taken down because technically you can't prove he never did
