More like when he was trying to hold on like at the beginning of the fellowship before Gandalf convinced him to turn it over. Now we just need to figure out who our Frodo is.

Doesn't matter who the Frodo is. It's the Sam that gets him there, and the Gollum that bites his finger off that matter.
