I still don't see Checo getting the axe yet. He absolutely could be performing better, but even when his qualifying blows, he makes up for it enough on Sunday. Beyond this season, I don't see him staying. But I don't think it'll happen before then.
Exactly, who is going to do better in that car while staying under the cost cap?

I think the parent comment meant without causing a substantial repair bill for pushing the RB19 to keep up with Max.
Yeah. Even with his current form, what's keeping Checo in that seat is the fact that there simply aren't any better alternatives. He's still good enough on Sundays to collect some points, enough to secure the WCC.
