Uh... What other maternal related deaths are there? Like is this as opposed to before birth?
The context of "maternal" should make it pretty clear that it's the baby's birth we're talking about, but it's funny to pretend they mean after the mother's own birth, as if a proper study needed to verify this.
Yeah, that's my point. The headline is kinda like saying "most exercise related injuries happen during exercise". Like... Yeah? How else is that supposed to work?
No, it's like saying that most of them happen up to a year later.
The word "after" in the headline means not during, and that's the surprising part
It's just a confusing headline. I know what it's trying to say now.
The majority happen within the first year after birth, that’s a long time
Guess I'm guilty of not reading the article and being generally ignorant here.
