Listening to Midnight in Tula from White Eagle right now. If someone tells you Brad Fiedel didn’t listen to this before making Tunnel chase for The Teeminator soundtrack feel free to laugh them out of the room.

One of my favorites in my collection. It's a 71 Terra Haute pressing and the sound is absolutely beautiful on it the sleeve has seen its share of abuse, but i dont care when the record sounds that good. Obviously the album needs no introduction, and ever song on it is absolutely amazing. Busted this out while i was making Christmas cookies, because Iron Man is ky spirit animal while dealing with Christmas mayhem.

This is from an interesting corner of my collection. An old roommate found a bunch of Hungarian records at the local Goodwill and got a couple of them, including a record of a Hungarian folk music which was absolutely incredible. We went back and scooped up the rest of the collection (i assume someone's Hungarian father died and his descendants didn't know what to do with the records so they just donated them since they all had the same name/initials on them). Unfortunately this album isn't nearly as good as the folk music, but i enjoy listening to it. The violins are very beautiful, even if there isn't anything particularly remarkable about the music. It's a lovely record to spin up while you read with a cup of tea.

This one is a reissue from 78, but it sounds great. One of Pink Floyds less appreciated albums, but a favorite of mine none the less.

Sunday Spin: Rush- 2112 (midwest.social)

One of my favorite albums of all time. My CDs of this and The Wall got me through high school and introduced me to the wider world of prog rock. I will argue that 2112 was Rush's greatest album, and that the singles on the B-side deserve way more love. Passage to Bangcock and Something For Nothing are masterpieces in their own right which would have shined had they not been bulldozed by the epic greatness of the title track. This is the album that saved Rush and paved the way for Canadian and American prog.

I've always loved ∆J since An Awesome Wave came out. I've always felt that This is All Yours was faithful to their first album while really cranking up the themes to 11.

As for the pressing itself, i have the color shuffled dual pressing with blue and yellow. The quality is fine compared to most other colored pressings, although my rig isn't really sophisticated enough to notice minor flaws.

I got to Record Riot every time they are in Cleveland. It's a good time to hang out with friends and browse some cool collections. Mr. Spock's Music From Outer Space was everything i hoped it would be, and Dreamboat Annie is an absolute banger of an album. I've also been dying to get my Fog On The Tyne to wrap up my Lyndisfarne collection, since my mom was growing up in Newcastle when they were big.

Does anyone know a place to buy used vinyl other than Discogs. I have been using them for a long time and they have really enshittified the experience.

Lucky find, F13 part 4, my favorite part btw, on a double gatefold LP pressed in 45 RPM.

This arrived yesterday in both vinyl and cd form. Norways best rock band delivers on their 7th album, it’s a contender for album of the year for me.

And yes, it plays at 33rpm, weirdly. The songs are You’ll be there for me / When you’re gone.

I was pleasantly surprised with this record when it came out of the jacket. This is sexy! Colored vinyl will always get my money.

Here's mine.

It's a Rega RP1 with just about every Groovetracer mod, a double pully, and the 24v motor swapped in (with the external power supply). That goes to my Schiit Mani, and then that goes into the main system, which is a big ol pile of Schiit. A Freya+ with two Vidar monoblocks.

The speakers are a pair of Klipsch RP 600M II's.
