I finally got caught up on season 46. After stumbling on a discussion on /r/survivor about generational^1^ participation and play styles I decided to waste a whole bunch of time and pulled together some data^2^. I thought it was interesting and thought I’d share.

• Only Gen X has appeared in every season
• Only Season 32 had a representative from all 5 Generations
• Seasons 3, 28, 35, and 40 only had 2 Generations represented
• Season 33 was "Gen X vs Millennials" but had a Boomer and a Zoomer (by USC Standards)

^1^ Generations are arbitrary, inconsistent, and ill defined. I used USCs definitions ^3^ for no particular reason other than I had to pick something

^2^ A contestant is counted for each appearance in a season at the age of their appearance in each season. Contestant’s generation was determined by minus . Age and Filming dates were sourced from Wikipedia

What a great season! What did you think of the finale? Should Jalinsky have made it to the final three? Did Hunter's Grin break your TV screen? Is Jeff using the cushion?

I'm not spoiled. I just love reading the edit.. and being wrong most of the time. My theory is that, the editor never show the winner being mean.

Kenzie: was mean to Bhanu

Liz: was pisseddddd to everyone

Mariah: was mean with the rock paper play

Before last boot, Q was also not show to be mean to anyone, and was most of a frontrunner than kenzie for me So we"re left with:

Ben and Charlie.

Since the new Era, the editor try really hard to hide their winner, it seems. Since Charlie is center stage, I suppose he will not win.

Plus their are a lot of non strategic scene with Ben and his anxiety. Thoses scenes make no sense if he doesn't win. EDIT: Unless Kenzie win. Which could happen, since the Bhanu scenes are now forgotten

This is a long shot. Probably no one is here but hopefully people might search and find this one day and join the community. I'll be here in the thread if anyone wants to chat about tonight's episode.

We are enjoying the finale so far! Pretty good season but not as many silly people as season 44. Poor Jake has had a hard time. I was so happy when he succeeded at fire making.

I wanted to wait a little so it wasn't a spoiler for anyone but dang am I glad they brought the auction back. It was always a favorite and the new rules make it better than ever.

The first episode of Survivor UK is airing in a bit, very excited to see what they have in stock.

Based on interviews it's going to be a lot like Australian Survivor 2016, very light but still modern in terms of strategic gameplay and idols and stuff.

SPOILERS last nights tribal.

Like seriously if you want to go home, just go home. Don’t make me think you are going to be part of some big move, then try to win the Oscar at tribal for crying about it.

It wasn't surprising to see Brandon go last night and I think Emily is finally starting to play better but Drew was the standout for me.

I get the feeling this guy can play a strategic, cutthroat game but has better sense than playing that too soon. Coming clean to the tribe was perfect, it built trust with his alliance and everyone is so skeptical after the one-person excursions that even telling the truth can look like a lie. I think he'll go far in the game.

Is Sifu the next Dragon Slayer? He just seems like such a joke though he is entertaining to watch.

That poor dude does not seem to have what it takes to play Survivor. He is always gassed out and crying. The only time he wasn't crying is when he was playing therapist to Hannah. Any chance he can turn it around or is he just dead weight until he's voted off?

New season, I'm pretty stoked. What do you think of the cast?
