Based on friend groups in Virginia and North Carolina, most of my peers started having their first kids between 28 and 38. I had mine at 35.

I was worried as soon as the "GMO cost $15 million" mindvirus got started that it would be weaponized for bad faith arguments. To replicate Godzilla Minus One, you need a leader with an unhealthy approach to work/life to throw himself into hours of work. Another way to get that budget is to exploit the shit out of your workers

There is obviously a ton of waste in Western entertainment budgets, particularly from Disney. But online commenters are doing the work of Disney's executives by holding up an outlier as an example of the new benchmark for budget success. You shouldn't fixate on the profitability of the endeavor, but instead on the effectiveness of the investment.

Jelinsky was perfect where he was in the boot order. He may go down in history as the most fondly remembered first boot, rivaled only by Redemption Island's first boot.

Congrats to Kenzie on a great win. Congrats to Ben on that immunity win. Here's hoping Liz, Venus, and Q come back for 50.

The federal Affordable Connectivity Program, launched at the end of 2021, has provided a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible low-income households and up to $75 for households on qualifying tribal lands.

Now, without additional funding from Congress, more than 23 million households across the country have begun to lose the aid. April was the last fully funded month, with some households receiving partial benefits from their internet service provider through May. Several congressional bills have been introduced to extend the program, but none has advanced yet.

As Newsline reported in early April, more than 900,000, or 1 in 5, households in North Carolina will be negatively impacted.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday sided with a Florida music producer in a legal battle against Warner Music over a song by the rapper Flo Rida, ruling that he can seek monetary damages dating all the way back to the 2008 release of the track.

Resolving a case that music companies had called “exceptionally important,” the justices ruled by a 6-3 vote in favor of Sherman Nealy, a Miami producer who sued Warner over claims that Flo Rida’s “In the Ayer” featured an unlicensed sample from the 1984 song “Jam the Box.”

'Warner Bros/Heyday Films’ Wonka has been granted a December 8 release in China, a week ahead of the domestic start and as part of an early overseas rollout for the Timothée Chalamet-starrer. Wonka will be going the same day as Universal/Illumination’s Migration in China.'
