Liftoff!

Why do some subreddits are labeled "Shown via [my instance]", whereas other do not? What is the difference if something is seen "via" my instance?

Can I also kindly ask why I am able to see banned subreddits when they're now shown via my instance?

I'm asking because I've never seen this on Mastodon

Upvotes on both posts and comments show in the UI when clicked but disappear when view is refreshed. 0.10.10 on S21. Steps to recreate bug:

• upvote a post it comment - upvote registers in app by first displaying a brief rotating animation and a blue circle to indicate that the item has been upvoted
• pull down to refresh the post - view is reloaded and the previously upvoted item is no longer marked with a blue circle

I have tried this on different instances and using different accounts. The same functionality works using Jerboa. Please advise

Running Android 13 on a Samsung S21 FE. From time to time Liftoff crashes the entire Android surface. Liftoff crashes and then I can only see my wallpaper and it takes like 5-10 seconds until the app icons are back.Anyone having the same issues?

My partner recommended I subscribe to https://feddit.cl/c/pudu [email protected] and I really want to, but I can't figure out how. I need to get to the "view this community on another instance" view, but I don't know how to get there without finding a post federated to my instance already. I know search across instances is difficult, but what about direct linking?

When I collapse a comment and its replies, scroll down but then scroll up, all the comments I collapsed are open again. So I have to scroll up all the replies again. I don't remember this to happen with the previous updates.

Or at least, can the delete button get a confirmation? I'm not the best typer and edit most of my posts 3-4 times. I've also deleted a ton of them by accident.

Not entirely sure if this is a Liftoff issue or something else, but when browsing posts after opening the app, the app refreshes and scrolls back to the top of the page seemingly at random. It makes using the app difficult, since it does so without prompting in the middle of reading througu the posts.

I have selected Subscribed as the default in my General settings:

When switching from my instance (feddit.de) to the Everything feed, I end up in Subscribed no matter which option I choose in the menu shown below. This is expected behaviour if I select Subscribed but not for Local or All. With pictures:

I used Subscribed as an example, but the same thing happens with Local or All as default, then Local or All will be shown respectively.

The weird thing is, it only happens switching from my instance, not if I was in one of the lemmy.world feeds or already in Everything (so selecting the intended option again a second time works, but I guess that's not how it's meant to work).

It would really be nice if you could get to the post and comment which replied to your comment or post.

I really like Liftoff, has everything I need, plus open source.

The only thing bugging me at the moment is the bold text everywhere. The headers are bold and the titles are bold. Just not very easy on the eyes to scroll through.

Just wish I could change to non bold text, just like I can change the text size.

Going to my account I can see all the comments I've made, but not the posts, even though there's the posts count showing the correct value.

As title. There's an option in the settings menu to disable animations. However GIF image posts animate in thumbnail view regardless.

Well ironically, sorry if it has been posted already (and I think so), because I'm currently using an app which allows to hide posts on scroll. That's the only important feature liftoff is missing imo and I hope you'll consider it !

the title says it almost completly already. I had a long chat with someone and i always click show context when i get a notification.

If i do that, it sends me to the reply but i cant see the context. The button to show the context just wont work.

If i go to the post and wanna see the reply with context over there, it wont even load the last reply. Like the layering of replies is too much.

It is this comment . I didnt find any lemmy bug report thing so i just wanna post here to get it out there. Maybe this is already known, or for some reason only me has this problem. I dunno, is there anything i can do or is this actually a bug?

It happens to me on feddit.de and liftoff.

Keep getting this error when trying to use that tab, signed in on other accounts and cleared cache but no change.

Everything else seems to work normally

I'm loving the app and I can't wait to see future developments.

The only issue I have at the moment are posts with multiple pictures or even one very large portrait style picture.

As I'm scrolling my feed, if I hit a multi picture post, my thumb is then scrolling through the pictures vertically rather than the actual feed. The only way to keep scrolling is to slide my thumb on the thin borders either side of the picture.

Open lemmy links in application, so that when I click a lemmy.world (or other instance) It opens lift-off

It seems to currently keep the servers listed in the order that the user adds them. It would be nice to have options to sort he lost alphabetical or manually.

I have a Lemmy world account. But when browsing all. I see communities I'm not interested in clogging the feed. If they are from another instance is there no way to block them from appearing?

I just installed Liftoff and it looks good, but I would be nice if there was an option so that the bottom bar (including the huge + button) is hidden when scrolling down. Thanks.

whenever I bring the app back from the background it automatically jumps to the beginning of the feed. same, when I go to my profile tab and then want to go back to scrolling the feed. back to where I started from 🥹ios

It looks like lemmy.world is assumed to be the default by the app. I'm on another instance, but I still get a lemmy.world option in the feed. Is it possible to get rid of it?

I've found an issue that if I upvote a notification I can't tap the check to clear it. I have to refresh the notifications page to clear it. It may also be that the have to be checked off in order such as top to bottom or bottom to top. I'm not positive what's making it unclearable.

Browsing locally through it to find new communities that might not have been added to the instance I use has been very helpful.

It's a killer feature I keep using and has me coming back to liftoff.

When getting a comment it can be difficult to remember the message you're responding too. A feature similar to BaconReaders essentially. Thanks!
