Liftoff!

Specifically, I would like to move lemmy.world lower down the list as it's not my main instance. Not sure if this is something that can be done at present or not?

After I marked all replies as read and did a manual refresh, the notification counters (on reply and main screen) sill show "new replies" for rather long time

I have pain in my right arm and frequently have to use my left hand to browse. I would love to have a left-handed mode for ease of use, doing a lot of reaching with my thumb rigt now.

Just now I experienced a crash after pressing the download button in the top right.

I opened an image, pressed it and nothing seemed to happen. So I pressed it again and then the app just closed.

I can't see my own posts in my profile. I guess that's a side effect of my settings to hide all read posts. Still, this is confusing and causes challenges.

Proposed feature would add a method to filter all posts appearing on the homepage feed by the value of a post property.

This may take the form of a filter button added to the homepage, or a setting in user settings.

Any posts which do not satisfy the filter are not shown on the feed. (Maybe a small text blurb saying "{N} posts were hidden by your filter(s)" so that it's reflected)

Use Case: Currently NSFW post content can be hidden from previewing but they will still appear on the feed - as will their title. A filter could be used to remove these posts completely from the feed.

Currently you can view a community and manually scroll through each post.

Proposed feature would add a Search Icon to the community view which would search posts/comments/users/etc. within that particular community.

Would it be possible to add deeplinks to launch certain parts of the app.

For example using liftoff://inbox to open the inbox in liftoff directly, or comments.

As the title said I'd like to have some sort of visual indication which comments and posts are made by me or mention me.

Yes I can look for my user name but that's not convenient. Maybe coloring the right border of my post in the current primary color is a good way to do that.

There is an option to block the user who posted, but not the entire community.

I'm using Liftoff v 0.10.7 on Android. Accessing new posts by going down works properly. But going up, when accessing previous posts, instead of the post smoothly loading, the post before it loads, giving a jittery experience. Am I the only one?

Since this app updates so often and it takes so long for app stores to have the latest update available, it would make sense to have a link to Obtainium right next to the links for F-Droid, Google Play, and the GitHub release page. Slide for Lemmy does something similar, though it is arguably more important there, as the app is not available on any store yet.

Perhaps I missed it but I can’t find any way to list the communities on my instance. I don’t mean search or !all, just the list that you can get from http://myinstance/communities

May I suggest that clicking on the home icon (in the lower left corner) should bring you to the top of your stream again? Thank you!

How do I remove an instance that I added to liftoff?

This seems like a simple question but I couldn't intuitively figure it out in the app. I'd like to go to a specific community, and maybe even subscribe. I know the instance that the community is on, however it's not on my list of saved instances. I haven't seen any posts to this community in my feed so there's no links - I just want to type the community and instance in manually. What am I missing?

I'm glad liftoff is opening web links in Firefox now, but I want YouTube videos to open in revanced so as to avoid ads. Slide used to have a built in YouTube viewer, which was great (no idea how it worked but it played zero ads too). YouTube broke it recently before Reddit broke the API, but there's always Vanced/Revanced... Any chance we can get that working?

Forgive me, if this is already been posted, but I downloaded the app on TestFlight and I cannot login on my account. Could anybody help me out?

Really wish that the compact mode was more compact too:

• Don't need to see "via [my instance]" on every post
• Community instance doesn't need to be as prominent as other info
• User's instance is rarely information I care about when scrolling through posts

Hey there thanks for the app and all, I really like using it :) some feedback from me:

On the UI, I think the floating plus button on the homescreen is unnecessary, as searching for a sub/finding it in the subscription list and pressing the create button is just as fast. The fab plus takes up too much space unnecessarily imo. But I understand if this is a personal preference by some of the creators.

In the menu were we select federations, lemmyworld is also avalaible. I'm part of Feddit, but not lemmyworld. Would it be possible to use my account from feddit for upvotes and comments while browsing lemmyworld's ALL? Until now it's too much of a burden with 'open in other instance'.. just takes too many interactions. I have the feddit stream, but I appreciate the different content on lemmyworld.

No idea who came up and popularized this UX crime but this isn't the first app I've come across that opens all or most of the dropdown and context menus from the bottom of the screen. Causing a complete disconnect from the action triggering the menu.

Really hope this gets fixed as I quite enjoy this one out of the currently available lemmy apps.

• Ultra compact view. Really we will be adding a 3rd view type so we will have card, list, and compact. The current compact view will become list

I'm subscribed to a dozen different gaming sublemmys and it would be nice to make a custom group called "games" with all those subscriptions.

I like using the in app browser to avoid switching apps. If I like something and want to review it later, there's no easy way for me to get the URL. Something like a "Share" and/or "Open in default browser" would make this much easier
