They seem angry

Yeah good call. I might mess around with the mini PC with things like docker and Plex server before I do anything major with HA. I'm not having any issues with HA at the moment and the Pi seems to be going strong for now.

Sorry for the dumb question, but would I be able to achieve something similar to the Plex server Docker config you shared, but without docker? If I don't bother trying to get HA running on the same mini PC?

I might have a play around with the mini PC before I try do anything major with HA.

Edit: have found a couple guides, so will try it out.

Is docker very different to HAOS? Anything major I'd have to do differently?

I've also heard of doing it using Proxmox, but not sure if there's any advantages/disadvantages?

Also, thanks so much for those links. Super helpful.

I've just found the Shield to be unreliable ever since the big android update (9?). I've had to set up my server from scratch every couple of months.

I honestly didn't mind Eufy at first. Mainly because of the price (I got a great deal) and the fact that things like the doorbell have local storage (no subscription fees). But it's gradually deteriorated over time. Notifications from the video doorbell are delayed by about 30 seconds. The door lock I have works fairly well. But the battery needs to be charged weekly.

Biggest annoyance however is the lack of functional integration with Home Assistant.

Fairly average overall. For the price I paid I'm still ok with it. If I were to start over, I wouldn't go with Eufy.

Good to see Pop sticking around. Not sure how much it changes the coaching market though. I'd say this is a pretty unique deal for a long term coach sticking with a franchise after having brought them success over his tenure while building a culture and training future coaches through their system.

But sometimes you might just want to go back to something you upvoted, without needing to save every post or comment just in case.

The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal

I usually try push through to the end with most books, but I couldn't do it for this one.

Even after it won the Hugo I was never tempted to go back to it. Found it to be so formulaic. I read just past halfway and it felt like a novelisation of a daytime movie.

You can't go wrong with most of seasons 5 to 9.
