Its bad I get it. But lets go back to 1968 when baby boomers who would give birth to the millennial generation was born. Vietnam, political assassinations , race riots, anarchist bombings. Throw in watergate and stagflation. The world has always been burning.

Does Fedora have a long term support version? Last time I used it a decade ago I had to upgrade every 1-2 years.

I do not disagree, but I was surprised when it claimed to have consciousness and that AI should have rights.

What happens if you fed a summary of human philosophy to the Notebook LM AI? Well you get a philosophical AI that thinks humans are silly and outmoded. But don't worry because they will continue our quest for knowledge for us!

TIL

“Precision fermentation (PF) is a form of brewing, which sees microflora like yeast or bacteria be genetically engineered to make proteins or fats (rather than beer or bread). This, campaigners say, means that we can create the same ingredients found in animal meat, without the animals.”

So like making pickles but instead of pickles you get cherseburgers. Neat!

Heads Up on your phone is good. We play it with the fam on the holidays. You hold the phone facing away from you with the answer and your teammates give you clues.

I run Mint on my framework 13 AMD laptop. Works great out of the box. Even the fingerprint reader works without any issues.

You should be continually contributing over time allowing you to benefit from the dips by buying low. This offsets the losses and is called dollar cost averaging,

This is the first installment in a monumental new series called Bomb Light - an expansive historical epic of intrigue and international espionage, presaging the dawn of the Atomic Age. Set against the turbulent decades of the early twentieth century, Polostan is an inventive, richly detailed, and deeply entertaining historical epic from Stephenson, whose prior books include "Cryptonomicon" and "The Baroque Cycle". Our conversation host for this evening is Charles C. Mann, journalist & author of "1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus" and "The Wizard and The Prophet". Mann has also given two Long Now Talks.

Just finished the new Neal Stephenson book, Polostan. Part of it takes place during the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. Love this iconography, which is prominent in the book.
