Calckey has that. And so do other Fediverse alternatives.

It'd be nice to have some flair or a shiny object to showcase contributions to the funding effort. And something really simple would be excellent.

I'm already giving monthly through the Patreon for Lemmy.world / Mastodon.world. So, I'm fairly comfortable!

Oh, brutal. There's barely any rentals in that community, so it's going to be an awful experience for these folks in finding a new place to stay.

Agreed. It's one of the reasons I enjoy being a monthly Patreon to Lemmy.world. Ruud and the admin team post updates to blog.mastodon.world, and through Open Collective highlight their outflows and inflows of cash.

It's a best practice for building transparent communities. By sharing information, and showcasing where a person's donations go, it builds confidence in a team of volunteers by a network. Also, for curious types like me, I can see what's happening.

As a side benefit, it allows for teams to build resources and establish new projects, like Lemmy.world. Which is excellent.

Same here.

I always imagine that the poor critter is in a moment... of being made aware that they are a frog. And just trying to adjust to it. It's a bit of whimsy that always improves my mood.

Ah! One of my favourite communities! 🤣

For the original effort on Mastodon, the Little Big Planet vibe was indeed an inspiration. The 'hand made' aesthetic is a really neat way to share that a place is being created and made by its users, and having it be a tangible, almost print or paper product, I felt it touched that key cultural element of both Lemmy and the work of the fediverse/activitypub.

Oh dear. Now that you mention it, I kinda see it too. Thanks for the flag: I'm... going to give it a think about how to shift it so that... isn't there. Maybe in the second version.

Oh, what a wonderful addition! That's a cutey if I've ever seen one @[email protected]!

It makes sense to go for simpler.

Also, the banners might need some extra work, as I think the various community pages might need a level of customization to reflect their local work (ie: listing the /c/support url).

I'm pretty hyped. I still have some edits to do and items to add/shift, and to send over to Ruud later. But this is going both on the fridge and into the resume! 🤣
