Can you help me with these steps?

I created Dockerfile & docker-compose.yaml to spin up a docker container with which I can just docker compose up -d --build.

Steps to recreate:

  1. Set up a docker ready machine
  2. create a folder e.g. typst-server
  3. Create and put Dockerfile & docker-compose.yaml inside of the folder
  4. docker compose up -d --build
  5. Go to http://your-ip:8443/
  6. Install Tinymist Extension for real time preview
  7. You can see that the preview shows nothing except gray background.

Dockerfile

FROM lscr.io/linuxserver/code-server:latest

RUN apt update && apt install -y \
	git \
	curl \
	wget \
	tar \
	xz-utils \
	python3\
	&& apt clean \
	&& rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*

RUN wget -qO typst.tar.xz https://github.com/typst/typst/releases/latest/download/typst-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.xz
RUN tar xf typst.tar.xz --strip-components=1 -C /usr/local/bin typst-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl/typst

docker-compose.yaml

services:
  code-server:
    build:
      context: .
    ports:
      - "8443:8443"
    volumes:
      - "./data:/home/coder/project"
    environment:
      PASSWORD: "mypasswordhere"

    restart: unless-stopped

Yup, seems like distrobox is the way to go in any case.

thanks for the suggestion. how can I install rclone on Bazzite? A quick searching didn't bring anything clear. Are you referring to using rclone via Distrobox or something?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

That’s awesome I didn’t think of that. Yup, I will look into suggestions from other people then get help/request on their forum

On immutable systems like bazzite, what's the best way to mount webdav storage as a file system in order to open it with Cryptomator?

options i'm thinking are:

  1. use distrobox bc there i can install davfs and cryptomator
  2. look for flatpak softwares that enables this function

I'm basically clueless. Any kind of info would be much appreciated.

I’ve personally experienced this a few hours ago and wanted to share.

Yup! The screenshot can be confiding because I tinker a lot with cpu, memory, pcie etc. I made it work with gpu pass through etc. so it was hard for me to capture exact setup in a single screenshot. in fact, games that don’t require proton runs very well like Celeste.

I'm extensively looking to setting up gaming on linux inside a VM on proxmox VE. But nothing i've tried worked.

I'm trying out bunch of games through Steam and its proton compatibility layer. Games I tried:

  • Sekiro
  • Elden Ring
  • Dark Souls 3

I've tried:

  • Manjaro KDE
  • Bazzite

on VM:

I was successfully install Windows 10 inside a VM and run games on there. By following this reddit post

But on any linux VM attempts, games can go 'starting' but back to 'launch' in a few seconds. It just fails...

I just want to know if anybody has ever successfully done this:D

I thought it was possible to disable it because it says “turned on by default “ smh

I might be unreasonable here. Yes, bug report cannot be done anonymously because they can’t get back to bug reporters when they actually look into the issue. But do they really have to see my email address? With all the debug logs provided my behavior can be easily guessed even though some parts are obscured. Signal already supports user id feature. They might as well just use that. By utilizing that, they can always get back to me when they need additional info with more privacy.

You are absolutely correct where you said depends on the severity.

Even if I try to contact them for a bug report, the app just open up the email app and I know there’s some email advantage for organizations because of the automation etc. but I expected to contact them directly within signal app. Much more privately.

Is it the first time they do this or annual thing?

I’ll try these options next time! Thanks

Thanks. This is something that I will have a look.

I see. Much more complicated algorithms involved. Now I actually stop & disabled reflector and manually picked some local servers. Now I’m seeing 50mb/s and I feel totally dumb lol

I just did and manually picked some near ones. It’s at 50mb/s and I really feel stupid now.

Thanks. really.

I see. I will try. Maybe the ones reflector chose was fast atm but not now. Thanks

When I pacman-Syu, it fluctuates between 200kb to 500kb

I checked my internet speed at fast.com and it says 490Mbps

Something isn’t right.

Reflector is doing its job. I checked /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and saw the last updated time is very recent (today).

I like Gcam mod by BSG. But this popup is a bit annoying. Do anybody here also use modded Gcam? If so do you know how to stop this?

Last trip to Tokyo Disneyland!

First of all, this app is really slick, thank you devs!

My question is basically title. It’s a great option to have but it was not for me. I often downvote comments as I intend to do go back gesture.

Thanks.

It looks very unintuitive to me…
