I have a chance to see Randy Feltface live in December but may have to go by myself since my one standup buddy said he "can't do puppets" lol. I mean I get the puppet hate but this isn't like Jeff Dunham, Randy is actually legitimately funny to the point that you kinda forget you're looking at a puppet.

also agreed on Mitch, RIP.

Craig Ferguson is probably my number one though. His specials aren't even that great but the three times I've seen him live have been hysterical, and his Late Late Show was legendary imo, such a quick witted mind for improv.

Just did Long's this past week for the 2nd time, my wife had to get revenge on this mountain after getting psyched out on the trough 13 years ago. absolute pain in the ass of a mountain but a beautiful experience at the same time.. we call it "type 2 fun", meaning you might not enjoy it while you're doing it but you're glad you did it once it's over.

Still waiting on my dream of an easily pocketable handheld powerful enough for 100% smooth GC/PS2, while also having great battery life and managing to be passively cooled at the same time. We’re getting close but currently all the powerful handhelds are too big and the pocketable handhelds are too weak.

Is capitalism dying or will it just get more and more ruthless until like 10 people have 99.999% of the wealth? Is there a difference? Either way it seems like humanity will have to make a choice soon whether we want to keep propping up a system that has fundamentally failed them.

Ok this season is frankly disappointing, what's with all these basic ass designs? I mean the center of this one looks nice and wavy, but I wish we could get at least one more stunning design like Milk Hill 2001 or something that actually makes you second guess if it's even possible for humans to pull off. It pains me to think that the genuine phenomenon may no longer be with us, and that the original creators have given up and moved on. Just on numbers alone, the past few years absolutely pale in comparison to the heyday of the phenomenon of the late '90's / early '00s. I mean just go to cropcirclecenter.com and scroll down to the statistics area, we're barely breaking 20-30 formations per season nowadays compared to the staggering 200-300+ formations per season back in the day. I think the saddest part of it all is that NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ANYMORE.

Yeah I've tried to wrap my head around that too. Like maybe if you have two people holding a taut rope and they walked in the same rotational direction while keeping the rope taut? But yeah seems like you'd definitely need something in the center to pivot around or else it would be really easy to get it wrong.

Like take this recent (imo definitely man made) formation from July 14th where you can clearly see holes in the center of the circles where they put a pole to pivot around (and conveniently along the farmer's tram lines):

Here's a video to get a closer look

(I didn't post this one here since it's a shoddy man made "crap" circle, lol jk it is decently done but not a finished work I would say)

Multiply 9 times any number and it always "reduces" back down to 9 (add up the individual numbers in the result)

For example: 9 x 872 = 7848, so you take 7848 and split it into 7 + 8 + 4 + 8 = 27, then do it again 2 + 7 = 9 and we're back to 9

It can be a huge number and it still works:

9 x 987345734 = 8886111606

8+8+8+6+1+1+1+6+0+6 = 45

4+5 = 9

Also here's a cool video about some more mind blowing math facts

I loved The Last Mimzy, kids find some "toys" that give them powers. It's cheesy but damn if its not wholesome as hell.

Here's a longer version of Pedro Hernandez's video (turn on English closed captions)

And here's Alfredo Carrillo's original video which is slightly better quality.

This is definitely one of the weirdest UFO videos I've ever seen with the dozens of spheres being ejected, almost seems organic in a way. And with two different people filming it at the same time gives it more credibility in my opinion (the movement of the ejected spheres matches up between the two videos)

Have you seen these videos before? What are your thoughts?

I have to concede that the design of essentially every crop circle so far could potentially be reproduced by man given enough time, since some of the formations that are known to be man made can be very complex and beautiful. Human artists are amazingly talented and are capable of pulling off great designs.

However this concept of ghost circles suggests that in addition to the known man made formations, there is also something anomalous happening in the "genuine" formations. Granted, this ghost phenomenon doesn't happen with every formation. If it did, then we could conclude that the pressure of the planks or rollers used by humans would compact the soil and alter the growth of the next crop planted in that field. But we don't ever see the return of formations that are known to be man made.

So there has to be some kind of energetic or chemical change happening in the soil of the "genuine" formations that affects the plant growth of the next year's crop.

In John Root's fantastic presentation "The Majesty And Mystery of Crop Circles", he shows that this phenomenon doesn't always manifest itself in the same ways. While it can lead to stunted plant growth in the next year's crop:

It can also lead to enhanced plant growth:

And also it can have effects on snow, like delaying the melting of the snow where the formation was:

Or even accelerating the melting of snow:

Here's a few other examples of ghost formations:
