At first, I read "wedding robots" and my mind went in weird directions. :)

Can it, though? :)

My condolences, and welcome!

I would guess the manpower drain of their costly Ukraine war has a larger effect than the sanctions. They are simply running out of people to work on stuff, throughout the country.

So, you turn to vodka. Again.

I must be doing something wrong with my 15 years old Debian installation, then.

Nukes. That's the only reason Russia is still even on the map.

If you ever need to ask yourself this, you ain't no friend of mine...

They don't seem to be getting destroyed, though...

They are supposed to pay it out to families of the soldiers. But they skirt around that by simply not retrieving their dead and wounded from the battlegrounds, and marking the soldiers as unknown/missing, thus deferring the payments indefinitely.

There have been multiple reports of wives/widows trying to find out what happened to their husbands, or at least to collect the money, with the military admin stonewalling them.

I think they chose to focus more on the human warmth and positive vibes, and, dare I say, normalcy, to contrast with Trump's themes of hate and inhumanity that his campaign even seems to be ratcheting up in these final days.

He smirked at the compliment. “What’s discipline got to do with winning?”

That right there tells me all I ever want to know about Trump and how he sees competition.

Wood Farm? (self.corekeeper)

Hi, I'm thinking of setting up an automated way to harvest the wood that grows out of a planted root seed.

I'm thinking having four auto-drillers pointed at the four sides of a planted root seed, so that anytime it grows, the wood will automatically be cut away.

But maybe there is a more effective way? I am not sure how exactly the wood growth works. Maybe you get more wood faster if you let the seed grow out a bit - perhaps every wood "tile" has a separate chance to push a new growth onto a random neighboring free tile?

Hi, I was looking at FrancisJohn's video on geothermal power (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyoLDP2tUaI), and tried the trick for building a "spike" deep down into lava (shown off at around 4:30 mark in the video).

However, my dupes do not seem able to build through the closed horizontal airlock. Has this trick been patched out?
